This is usually beneficial to fit into a group and our society, but how does this strategy work in environments like avalanche-terrains? What kind of social influences is to find in these areas? And how can we learn to use it to make better and safer decisions when skiing in the mountains? Come to the talk and learn!

Arctic Landscapes change rapidly and permafrost soils are thawing. Besides the loss of those unique landscapes, this may also lead to huge amounts of carbon and methane emissions. Climate Models are useful to determined those emissions.But those models are not perfect. So how can we use them to model Permafrost soils and what do they tell us about future Carbon emissions?

Engaging with climate change first hand, the outdoor community faces a paradox: while connected to nature, their activities contribute to high transport emissions. This study focuses on moblity beahvior of the enviornmental organisation Protect Our Winters (POW), and shows a gap between their attitudes, values and mobility behavior. What are effective policies and measures to bridge this gap?
